MYKHAILO RUDENKO’S EXHIBITION “... and this is what I live for!”

Mykhailo Rudenko graduated with honours from Kyiv State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture) in 1985 with a degree in Painting (Surikov Scholarship holder).
He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1992.
Mykhailo Fedorovych is a regular participant in all-Ukrainian art exhibitions of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and national and international symposiums on painting. He has been working at the Department of Graphic Design of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design since 2011, first as a senior teacher and since 2019 – at the position of associate professor.
M. Rudenko is the author of a large number of completed international projects and exhibitions (more than 150 exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad) in fine arts, among which there are the projects “ABSTRASCIONES ENCONTRADAS”, “R-EVOLUTION. SUPREMATISM. Cultural projects “Art expeditions along the paths of the national elite from Kyiv to Uzhhorod", the exhibition in the “Uzhhorod National Museum named after Y. Bokshay”, the exhibition at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, participation in cultural and patriotic projects of the Kyiv City Council on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Battle of Kruty, gratitude for a significant personal contribution to the revival and implementation of national and patriotic education of youth (performances and exhibitions). He developed a set of educational and methodical materials for the courses “Brand Style”, “Quick Sketches”, “Drawing and Painting”, “Color Studies” (19 editions), a monograph album on drawing “Body Line”, Great Britain (2011), 5 articles in scientific professional publications on cultural studies and art history approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, included in international scientific and metric databases, 1 article in a scientific periodical abroad, 1 publication in Scopus.
He was invited, on public grounds, to the Hungarian National Academy of Fine Arts to exchange professional activities and experiences, giving lectures and presentations on the method of teaching the art of drawing in Ukraine and the Vienna Academy of Arts (Austria).
He has been a member of the VBK Association of Artists in Berlin since 2017 and participates in all cultural and artistic projects of the VBK both in Berlin and in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. He is regularly exhibited in various leading exhibition centers in Hungary, Austria, Germany, and the USA.
M. Rudenko plays a leading role in popularizing Ukrainian culture and art in the world’s cultural community. He organized an exhibition of creative works at the UNESCO Headquarters (Paris) in 2011. He is a member of the International Сouncil of Museums (ICOM). On a part-time basis, he worked as a leading designer of the exhibition and exposition department at the National Sanctuary Complex “Kyiv Sophia” (1998-2013). He was repeatedly recognized and awarded a certificate for high professionalism in the preservation, research, and popularization of the monuments of the National Sanctuary Complex “Kyiv Sophia” and a significant contribution to the development of national culture. His personal exhibition in the exhibition hall of the National Sanctuary Complex “Kyiv Sophia” was in 2011.
He collaborates in cultural and artistic programs with the Center of Anna Yaroslavivna in Saint-Lys (France) and popularizes Ukrainian art.
On a public basis, M. Rudenko also cooperates with the University of Sorbonne (Paris), he conducts consultations and online classes for groups of students under the author’s program (2018-2021).
International internship and advanced training at Kyiv Institute of Qilu University of Technology, PRC (2019-2021). He gives lectures and conducts practical classes in “Sketch” and “Colour” courses.
M. Rudenko organized an exhibition of creative works with the students of Kyiv Institute at Qilu University of Technology, PRC (2020).
Scientific and informative work on the popularization of Ukrainian art and culture: First national “Tele Academy” – 2014-2016 (8 TV programs); TRK OBRIY – host of the cultural project “Conversations about Art” – 2016; “Kyiv Morning” – a rubric “Meeting with the Artist”; development of graphic symbols for television, design and implementation of a national system of marks to protect children from the information that may harm their health and development.
