The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine jointly with the Austrian Agency OeAD has announced the competition for joint Ukrainian-Austrian research projects for implementation in 2027-2028 (hereinafter – the competition).

The competition is open to any research groups from higher education institutions and scientific institutions of both countries across all scientific disciplines and thematic areas, including social and humanitarian sciences.

For Ukrainian researchers this is a chance to launch a two-year research project together with Austrian colleagues and receive state funding.

What is financed:

• salary of Ukrainian participants;
• business trips to Austria (travel, accommodation, per diems, insurance);
• materials for research;
• overhead costs of higher education institutions and scientific institutions.

One of the requirements of the competition:  the Austrian partner submits a parallel application to OeAD.

The deadline for submitting the application for participation – 24 April 2026, by 12:00.
