International cooperation facilitates the integration of the University into the world educational space and covers both the educational process and the organization of research, technology transfer, promotes innovative development of the University, improving the quality of training of competent professionals, creating conditions for mobility of higher education seekers and academic staff. Ensuring high quality training of foreigners builds an international authority of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, strengthens its position in international markets of educational services.
Today in Ukraine, there is a need for experts and scientists who have not only basic theoretical knowledge, but also some international practical experience. That is why the development of the international activity of KNUTD is an integral part of a successful European leading university.
An important area of international cooperation is the membership of KNUTD in international educational and industrial associations, so the University is a member of the European Enterprise Support Network “EEN – Enterprise Europe Network” (since 2011) – 600 organizations in 250 consortia from 40 countries, including 27 countries of the European Union (9 members from Ukraine).
At the level of the University, a large number of negotiations, meetings, and events were held with the representatives of Great Britain, Poland, Germany, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jordan, China, Vietnam and Libya to enhance the international image of KNUTD.
In order to regulate academic mobility at the University, the Regulations on Academic Mobility were developed and approved, which establishes the general procedure for organizing the academic mobility of the University students in Ukraine and abroad.
Academic mobility in KNUTD is carried out through the implementation of the following programs:
1. Double-degree diploma.
2. Free listener.
3. Internship of academic staff and students.
4. Cooperation between domestic and foreign higher education institutions.
A striking demonstration of Ukraine’s friendship with Poland and Azerbaijan is the functioning of two centers at the University: the Ukrainian-Polish Training Center and the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Cultural and Educational Center.
