Department of Applied Mechanics and Machines, Faculty Mechatronics and Computer Technology, has received the right to use in classrooms the last date licensed version of CAMWorks 2017 for SolidWorks from the American company Geometric Technologies Inc.

CAMWorks 2017 - one of the most sophisticated, intelligent software systems for automated creation of programs for machines with numerical control (CNC), which is integrated in SolidWorks. In other words, the generation process of manufacturing parts of its 3D model obtained in SolidWorks. In a G-code for 2-axis laser machines; 3-5-axis CNC milling machines; lathes; machining centers; automatic longitudinal turning and turning and milling processing; electrical discharge machining and others.

The use in the classroom such a powerful computer-aided design production not only can extend the mechanical competence of students directly, but guarantees their competitiveness in the labor market.
