To perform vocational orientation of school-leavers on the basis of the full comprehensive secondary education there was organized All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Handcraft Training in Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design in specialties “Professional Education (Technologies of Light Industry Products)” and “Technologies of Light Industry”. The Olympiad was held in 2 stages:

I – stage distant – from 13.03.2017 to 10.04.2017

II – stage at KNUTD – 28.04.2017.

The participants of the I stage were schoolchildren of comprehensive secondary schools from Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk regions. The winners of the I stage were invited to KNUTD to take part in the II stage.

The performance of the competition tasks showed high quality knowledge and creativity of the participants. The victory was gained by:

• Maryna Bezsmertna from Hetman Ivan Sulyma Kuchakiv school (the village of Kuchakiv, Boryspil district, Kyiv region) – I place;
• Margaryta Paskevych from Petro Kalnyshevskyi Romny school (the town of Romny, Sumy region)  - II place;
• Anna Davydenko from Yaroslav Mudryi Novopetrivtsi school (the village of Novipetrivtsi, Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region) – III place.

The Olympiad participants got acquainted with the university and its life on the excursion which was held by the Head of Students’ Management Board Raisa Stadniuk. In addition, the participants visited the University museum.
