6-9 June 2017 scientific team from Molecular pharmacology, chemogenomiks and biogerontology laboratory of KNUTD consisting scientific director, PhD Volodymyr Bessarabov, senior researcher, PhD Galina Kuzmina, researcher Oksana Shelihatska, graduate of Industrial Pharmacy Vyacheslav Derypapa and Ilya Goryushyn took part in the IX International Conference on Chemistry "Kyiv-Toulouse» (IX-SICC). The conference took place at the Chemical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. As part of the conference for four days, scientists from France (Toulouse, Angers, Lehmann, Orleans), Algeria, Azerbaijan, Estonia, India, Canada, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine ( Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Dnepr, Zhitomir, Zaporozhye, Uzhgorod, Rivne) discussed reports from all areas of chemistry.
In the poster session of the conference were presented two reports by representatives of KNUTD. The first is devoted to the results of research the flavonoid hesperidin as butyrylcholinesterase inhibitor. Results of the study open new possibilities for developing low emission medicines for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly, which will be integrated pleiotropic pharmacological effects.
The second scientific report contains the results of fundamental research the micellar decontamination of active pharmaceutical ingredients and organophosphorus pesticides. Work is carried out by scientists KNUTD together with researchers of the L.M. Litvinenko Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry and Coal chemistry ща NAS of Ukraine (L. Vakhitova, PhD and Professor A. F. Popov). Relevance of the study due to its applied aspects related to environmental protection from outdated of organophosphorus pesticides and ecotoxicants.
Participating teachers with graduate of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD and colleagues of NAS of Ukraine in this scientific event promotes international relations of university scientists as part of the "Fundamental Technologies of active longevity" scientific direction.
