On November 9, 2018, the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language was held at the School. Within the framework of the event, the mini-lecture on the origin of the holiday was read and the dictation of national unity was written. Students as well as academic staff of the School had a chance to write the dictation. At the end of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language there was a concert of teachers and students of Cherkasy Music School No. 1 named after M. Lysenko during which the works of Ukrainian composers were performed.
