The 9th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (https://energyforum.org.ua), was held in Kyiv on November 12-15, 2018/ On behalf of the Kiev National University of Technology and Design Dr. Victor Kaplun, Vice-Rector and Mr. Oleg Shevchenko, Director of the Project Management Office took part in this event.
The university representative’s active participation during the Forum’s panels and the presentation of the results of our university’s energy efficiency activities has attracted the interest Mr.Scott Foster, Director of the UNECE Sustainable Energy Division, who, despite the tight schedule, visited our University’s Energy Efficiency Center and has met with Dr. Ivan Grishchenko the Rector of the University.
After reviewing the performance of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Mr. Foster expressed the need to support the educational component in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving as a key factor in ensuring sustainable development, and also suggested closer cooperation by signing a memorandum of cooperation and integrating our university into the world. a network of universities - leaders for introducing innovative changes in the field of efficient energy.
During the meeting, Academician Ivan Grishchenko. has supported the initiative of Mr. Foster and assured that the university staff will make all required effort, for the successful implementation of the tasks, in the framework of joint activities to implement sustainable energy policies.
