The focus group was organized within the framework of the Evaluation of the Small Business Act for Europe in Ukraine, which is implemented in partnership between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission (EC), the European Foundation for Education (ETF), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development ( OECD) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Within the framework of the focus group, which was attended by representatives of international and Ukrainian institutions, public organizations, state authorities and business, a number of issues were discussed regarding the state and progress of the state policy on entrepreneurship training in institutions of higher education.

Based on the results of the Assessment, a regional publication "Small and Medium Enterprises Policy Index: Eastern Partnership 2020 countries" will be prepared, which will include an analysis of Ukraine's approximation to 10 principles of the Small Business Act for Europe and assessment of progress in implementing reforms in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine and the other five Eastern Partnership countries on a comparative basis.
