Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” a solemn event "Higher education institutions – a platform for preparation of high qualified energy auditors" was held. It was held as part of the project "Support of the national fund of energy efficiency and the program of environmental reform (S21) in Ukraine". This project is implemented in the framework of cooperation between the governments of Ukraine and Germany in pursuance of an agreement between Ministry of regional development, construction and communal services of Ukraine and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

In preparation of energy auditors for Ukraine will take part 34 leading universities. It is pleasant to note that our university was honored to join this program.

The event was attended by representatives of our university: acting director of "Educational and scientific institute of engineering and information technologies", Doctor of Engineering, Prof. Panasiuk I.V., director of educational and scientific laboratory "Energy efficiency center" Kozlenko A.M., professor of "Energy management and applied electronics department" Doctor of Engineering, Prof. Shvedchykova I.O., Associate Professor of "Heat and power engineering, resource saving and technogenic safety department", Ph.D., Associate Professor Kuznetsova O.O., an assistant of educational and scientific laboratory "Energy efficiency center" Melamed I.O.

The deputy prime minister – minister of regional development, construction and communal services of Ukraine G. Zubko, rector of National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” M. Zgurovsky and acting director of ”Energy efficiency fund” Y. Golovatyuk-Ungureanu addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words. The presentation of training program of energy auditors for work with “Energy efficiency fund” was made by director of GIZ project “Support of the national fund of energy efficiency and the program of environmental reform (S21) in Ukraine” Robert Künne.

The cooperation program provides for development by GIZ specialists of training program for preparing energy auditors, conducting trainings for teachers – energy auditors and university representatives. In future, teachers – energy auditors who have been trained will implement similar training with the support of GIZ at their universities.
