Results of the 5th ISE Satellite Student Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry «Promising Materials and Processes in Applied Electrochemistry»

On October 21st, 2020, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, hosted the 5th Student Satellite Regional Symposium of the International Electrochemical Society (ISE) "Promising Materials and Processes in Applied Electrochemistry", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Department for Electrochemical Power Engineering & Chemistry.  The conference visited over 30 scientists from 4 countries (Poland, Czech Republic, P.R.China and Ukraine).

The conference was opened, with a welcoming word to young scholars, by vice-rector for research and innovation Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies Olha Baula and the Head of the Department of Electrochemical Energy and Chemistry Viacheslav Barsukov. Everyone noted a great role of the Symposium for the scientists, and wished health and success to young scientists at the Vth Symposium, which is held in an uncommon mode of videoconferencing.

Members of the scientific committee noted the high achievements of young scientists, as evidenced by high-quality presentations. Prof. M. Yaskula noted that despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the Zoom format of the conference, the Vth Symposium was organized at a high level, and expressed hope that the coronavirus would retreat and the VIth Symposium of 2021, will take place in Kyiv, KNUTD.
