On New Year's Eve, we traditionally summarize the past year, make plans for the future and always believe that next year life will change for the better! I would like to congratulate the Academic Council, all employees of the faculty on the coming year.

Recently at the Academic Council of the faculty we talked in detail about the problems and achievements, summed up and set new goals for the development of scientific and artistic components of our faculty. The main tasks were unanimoused:

• further improving the quality of staffing of teachers; training by involving young people in post-graduate and doctoral studies;
• continuation of work on the implementation of targets of departments and faculties, active participation of teachers in the scientific, artistic and creative component in accordance with the requirements of modernity, student preferences and trends in modern science and arts;
• improving the work of all departments remotely in accordance with today's challenges;
• continuation of work on obtaining category A of the scientific and professional journal "Art and design" (category B), professionalism in art history and technical sciences;
• active participation of teachers and students in academic mobility, Erasmus Plus projects with Iasi Technical University named after Georgy Asaki (Romania), School of Design of the Baltic International Academy, Riga (Latvia), work of teachers in the project with the University of Technology in Tselu (PRC);
• therefore, the current problem is the language training of faculty teachers, encouragement to learn foreign languages, obtaining a certificate of level B2;

and many more tasks. But, unfortunately, not every employee, especially teachers, feel the pace and demands of the time, do not fulfill even their direct assignments, which must be corrected immediately. That is why all faculty members should be actively involved in the implementation of specific development steps. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the heads of departments, all employees of the faculty for fruitful work in our beautiful cause - education and upbringing of youth.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all colleagues and congratulate the administration, employees of other faculties, institutes and colleges of KNUTD on the coming New 2021 year. Thank you, dear Rector Ivan Mikhailovich! You are always striving to develop a design direction at the university, and we are also always ready for further fruitful work.

New Year is not just the beginning of a new calendar! These are new hopes, successes, victories! We look to the future with confidence and we have every reason to be optimistic - clear and concrete development plans and real opportunities to implement them.

May luck and good mood, health be our constant companions in the new year, may joy never leave us.

May there be prosperity in homes, peace and love in families!
