On February 6, 2021 in the Art Arsenal, within the framework of Ukrainian Fashion Week, a round table meeting on fashion education in Ukraine took place. The meeting was initiated by designer Lilia Litkovska.

Among the invited participants is KYIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGIES AND DESIGN (KNUTD), which is represented by the art and design center of the university. Natalia Chuprina, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design, Professor of the Department of Costume Art Design, who is an expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the field of evaluating the activities of higher education institutions in the humanities and arts, took an active part in the interesting discussion.

The round table meeting at the Art Arsenal in the framework of Ukrainian Fashion Week was attended by: art director and lecturer of the Academy of Style and Design ANDRE TAN, a graduate of the Department of Design of KNUTD Olga Bublikova; journalist, editor of the "Style" section of "Esquire" magazine Maria Khalizieva; founder of Ukrainian Fashion Education Group and fashion expert Maryna Loseva; founder of the non-governmental School of Clothing Design Victoria Usenko; Petro Mamchych, program director of Film Festival Kyiv-2020, curator of the IMAGO Biennale, graduate of the Department of Artistic Costume Design of KNUTD, other representatives of fashion education and fashion industry in Ukraine.

The issues of modernization of state education in the field of fashion industry and transformation of knowledge provided by non-state educational institutions in this field towards expanding the professional horizons of graduates were discussed in the active dialogue. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of online and offline education in the field of design and fashion industry in Ukraine are relevant and the prospects of cooperation between educational and practical spheres are formulated, as well as the convergence of training in different areas of fashion industry in the context of this industry in Ukraine.

As part of this year's Ukrainian Fashion Week in the Art Arsenal, which for many years has been regularly attended by students and graduates of KNUTD under the professional guidance of Irina Danilevska, founder and head of this real celebration of professional fashion, KNUTD partner, were presented works of designer, regular participant of Ukrainian Fashion Week, teacher Ivan Frolov, Faculty of Design, KNUTD.

The high professionalism and creativity of Ivan Frolov, Assistant Professor of Ergonomics and Design at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, was confirmed by the National Annual Best Fashion Awards in the field of fashion, launched in 2010 by Ukrainian Fashion Week and Zefir magazine.

Well-known Ukrainian designer and founder of the FROLOV brand once again receives this professional award, winning the “Breakthrough of the Year 2020” nomination.

The achievements of our talented graduate Ivan Frolov were awarded the Best Fashion Awards in 2014 in the nomination "Opening of the Year", in 2015-2019 – in the nomination "The best fashion production", which promotes fashion, building the fashion industry in the country and creating a positive image of KNUTD in Ukraine and abroad.
