On behalf of the rector of the University, Academician Ivan Gryshchenko, the Office of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Institute for Internationalization of Higher Education and Science, together with the Faculty of Design, carried out painstaking work on the entry of our University into the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media Cumulus.

Cumulus – the only global association that focuses on art and design education and research. It is a forum for partnerships and the exchange of knowledge and best practices among universities and colleges in the arts, design and media. Cumulus currently has 360 members from 63 countries. The organization's secretariat is located at Aalto University, Finland, and conferences and activities are held in design centers around the world.

On June 9, 2021, the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design was presented at the Annual Conference Cumulus "DESIGN CULTURE(S)", which took place online at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. University was presented by the dean of the Faculty of Design prof. Maryna Kolosnichenko, Director of the Institute for Internationalization of Higher Education and Science Oleg Shevchenko, representative of KNUTD in the Cumulus Association prof. Kalina Pashkevych, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and European Integration prof. Olena Kyzymchuk.

On June 10, 2021, at the General Assembly of Cumulus, it was solemnly announced the admission of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design as a Member of the Association.
