Dean of the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy of the Technical University of Moldova (Chishinau, Moldova), Doctor of Architecture, Prof. Sergiu Tronciu, in his interview to the National Broadcast TV Channel Moldova 1 in December 2021, spoke about the Kiev National University of Technologies and Design as one of the best schools in the world in the field of fashion and design. Sergiu Tronciu spoke about the areas of long-term cooperation between the Technical University of Moldova and the Faculty of Design of KNUTD within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, about International Competition for Young Fashion Designers «Печерські каштани» and International Competition of One Image and New Year's and Christmas Decor «Сузір’я «Каштан», which has been hosting our university for more than twenty years.

In 2021, students of the Department of Design and Technologies in Textiles and Printing, the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy of the Technical University of Moldova (TUM) won prizes in the competition «Сузір’я «Каштан», which the dean of the faculty Sergiu Tronciu proudly spoke about in an interview. The victory of students in creative competitions is an indicator of the high level of training and qualifications of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy of the TUM. Graduate of KNUTD, Ph.D., associate professor Angela Skripchenko many years works at the Technical University of Moldova and she always remembers her native alma mater with gratitude.
