On December 21, 2021, the final stage of the 1st All-Ukrainian Student Vocal Art Competition “The Star Song 2021” took place.

Students from all over Ukraine aged 17 and older participated in the competition. The competition took place in three stages. After the 1st and 2nd stages of the competition, which was held online, the jury selected 20 contenders to win.

The performance of the participants was evaluated by the star jury: Tetiana Piskarova, Honored Artist of Ukraine, singer; Viacheslav Dovzhenko, famous stage and screen actor, Honored Artist of Ukraine; Tetiana Kisliak, Honored Artist of Ukraine, singer; Michael Brunsky, Honored Artist of Ukraine, singer; Serhii Zhuravskyi, film producer, acting Head of the NGO “Ukraine of the XXI century”; Anfisa Kolenko Head of the Department of Performing Arts of KNUTD, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor.

The chairman of the jury was Oleksandr Tarasenko, Honored Artist of Ukraine, choirmaster of the National Opera of Ukraine, associate professor of Pyotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine

The chairman of the organizing committee was Ivan Gryshchenko, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Rector of KNUTD.

The contestants demonstrated their true love for vocal art and endless spiritual and creative possibilities, professionally realizing the composer’s idea on stage. Many of the works presented at the competition strongly impressed by the rapid presentation of musical material, the breadth of the means of stage expression, and vocal intonation, creating a melodic and harmonious picture of the vocal work. The jury appreciated the performing skills of the contestants, the highly professional work of their leaders, manifested in the professional vocal training and skills of students, as well as the creation of an artistic image of solo vocal works. In the election of the winners, the jury paid attention to the choice of musical repertoire, a vocal culture of performance, realization of musical potential, the quality of musical material.

According to the results of the final concert, the winners were announced, a solemn awarding of the laureates with I-III-degree diplomas was held and the participants were awarded honorary diplomas.

• Tetiana Ogiy, KNUTD, 2nd year, performing arts.

The aim of the competition was to identify talented creative youth, increase the level of performing skills, mutually enrich creative students and exchange experiences, promote the further development of young talented performers. We believe that the main task of the competition has been completed.
