Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has entered the TOP-20 best universities in Ukraine according to the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities!
Another piece of good news, as a confirmation of the correctly chosen strategic direction of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design on the way to comprehensive internationalization and sustainable development, is currently published on the official website of the international rating “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities” (the “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities” is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain).
Our University has taken the 14th place of honour among 313 universities of Ukraine, and a year ago KNUTD was on the 29th place of this authoritative rating. It should be noted that according to a website impact indicator, KNUTD is on the 10th place among the universities of Ukraine. The 3585th place out of more than 31 thousand universities in the world is also worth respecting!
UKRAINE - 2022, TOP-100 WEBOMETRICS RANKING
This dynamic positional growth in the international internet ranking was preceded by the painstaking work of the University’s academic staff, aimed to improve the content of the official website of the University – one of the priorities, because in today’s world most information is received via the Internet.
In recent years, the University has been analyzing the relevance and quality of the information posted on the website, its structure, statistics of visits, positions in international rankings, comparisons with the sites of other universities. Based on the findings, a number of measures for information and technical updates of the site have been developed and they are being implemented.
Thus, during the past year of 2021, the sections of educational units, information on educational programs for entrants were revised and updated, the ECTS section was significantly expanded by publishing educational programs and course syllabi in Ukrainian and English.
The University regularly and promptly publishes information on scientific, educational, artistic and cultural-entertaining events. This information is also posted on social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and on the University’s YouTube channel, which significantly contributes to the promotion of the official site.
The information on the site is organically supplemented by the repository of the scientific and technical library of KNUTD, the sites of scientific journals and conferences, the pages of educational departments on social networks.
Measures are also regularly taken to ensure the proper technical functioning of the site. In particular, the site has been recently moved to a new server, which provided more system resources for hosting content and allowed to increase the speed of page loading.
All these activities ensure the functioning of the site as a single resource in which information is concentrated on the activities of individual teachers, staff members, students, and the University as a whole.
