Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, in accordance with the British Council’s Creative Spark project, the Faculty of Management and Business Design together with the Institute for Internationalization of Higher Education and Science have successfully launched a number of activities aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills of applicants for higher education at the University. The first two training courses “Starting Your Own Business – From Idea to Profit”, on February 10th, and “Startup Marketing”, on February 14th, aroused great interest among KNUTD students. There were more than 100 participants. Therefore, according to the decision of the project team, an additional training course “Launch your startup” was held on February 15th. Almost 30 students took part – selected representatives from all the faculties and institutes of KNUTD, only with English level B2 and higher, as some presentations were in English.
The students thanked the coaches for the interesting and instructive presentations, actively participated in the discussions in English, asked questions, and were interested in various ways to solve the problems of entrepreneurship. They paid close attention to practical recommendations of the coaches:
- Taliat Bielialov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business, Faculty of Management and Business Design – Doctor of Economics, owner of a number of well-known companies.
- Oleksandr Pavlenko, Head and co-founder of the educational career guidance startup ChoiZY, a Ukrainian-British startup launched in 2019, which has received a grant from the Ukrainian Startup Fund, completed the US ALTS Capital Accelerator program and raised $.1 million.
