On May 24, 2022, within the framework of international cooperation between the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (Duale Hochschule Baden-Wuerttemberg Stuttgart, DHBW Stuttgart, Germany) and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, a lecture by DHBW professor Wolf Burger was held. Students from the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies, the specialties 141 Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics (Ya. Maly, V. Shynkarenko,) and 123 Computer Engineering (D. Zakharov, S. Romanchuk, Ya. Ghnitetskyy), attended this meeting. Iryna Shvedchykova, Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics, was the moderator of this event from KNUTD.
The lecture was devoted to the transmission, considering the example of a DC motor and an air propeller. This was a combination of theory with practical training. In the lesson, theoretical issues such as DC motor efficiency, air propeller efficiency, and determination of its operating point, the efficiency of the entire system were considered. During practical work, students had the opportunity to master the FreeCAD parametric 3D modeling system for the development of structural elements of the air propeller using a 3D printer. The model of the system DC motor-air propeller can be used for the creation of a virtual (Pop Up) laboratory.
During the lecture, the students could ask questions that interested them. The Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies hopes to continue cooperation with the University of Germany to implement different joint and scientific projects.
