Students from the Department of Art and Costume Design of the Faculty of Design are currently studying at Birmingham City University as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program. On September 12, 2022, Ilona Mandiraji and Ruslana Rudyuk, students of the Department, held an informative and meaningful conversation about the organization of the educational process at Birmingham City University on Instagram @ilona_pelin, attended by the teachers and students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design and Department of Ergonomics and Design.

The students spoke about their impressions and experience of studying at a foreign university, about the projects they carried out during the semester. So, one of the projects was the development of clothing models using creative sources. The student I. Mandiraji transferred her emotions experienced from the war in Ukraine to the embodiment of her creative project “Transformation of Consciousness”, inspired by the work of the artist Cornelia Parker and the music band Depeche Mode.

The students demonstrated the stages of completing tasks in various courses and the format of their presentation, explained the system for evaluating works, and answered the questions of the participants regarding living conditions on the campus of Birmingham City University, spending free time, and visiting attractions in the UK.
