On behalf of Rector Ivan Gryshchenko, representatives of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design: Oleg Shevchenko, Director of the Office for International and Project Activities, and Talat Belyalov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business, took part in the international forum "Creative Spark: Renovate Ukraine". This event was the final event of the five-year Creative Spark program of the British Council, in which our University is a participant with an institutional capacity development project to provide entrepreneurial skills to our university students, developed jointly with the University of Southampton from the UK.
The forum, organized by the creative team of Tech StartUp School, within the walls of the Lviv Polytechnic, brought together representatives of universities, participants of the British Council project "Creative Spark"; famous entrepreneurs; public activists; students of higher education and all those interested in the development of entrepreneurial skills for the development of creative industries in Ukraine. Honorary guests of the forum were Andriy Sadovyi, Mayor of Lviv City and Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional State/Military Administration.
The event took place in an open hybrid format, which one allowed everyone to join the discussion on the development of creative education and entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
During the forum, the representatives of our university presented the results of the project team of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, exchanged the acquired experience with colleagues, and initiated new connections for further joint project cooperation.
Of particular note is the joint work with representatives of Kyiv National University, which resulted in a draft conceptual plan for further cooperation between the teams of both universities. These developments have become the first effective step in the development of partnerships, within the framework of the recently concluded Memorandum of Cooperation (https://en.knutd.edu.ua/events-and-publications/news/14782/) between the rectors of the Taras Shevchenko National University, Dr. Vladimir Bugrov, and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Dr. Ivan Gryshchenko.
At the end of the forum, the former Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta, on behalf of the British Council, presented a Certificate of successful implementation of all components of the Creative Spark project at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. This honorary award was presented to the Rector of the University Professor Gryshchenko at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University to the applause of those present.
We congratulate all KNUTD`s employees who participated in various ways in the activities of the Creative Spark project, and we hope that the involvement of scientific and pedagogical specialists of different generations, united by the common goal of creating an entrepreneurial university, creative industries under the leadership of socially recognized leaders in education will ensure the high efficiency of the educational process, its distribution and implementation at the level of the best world standards. And, of course, in the future, this innovative vector of development at the university will deepen and develop, approaching the world level.
