Modern advanced technologies open up new perspectives for us. The involvement of world-class scientists in the educational process helps to inspire and guide specialists in a progressive direction.

On February 28, 2023, an online lecture by Tatjana Spahiu, professor of the Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania) was held at KNUTD for the teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students. It was about the possibilities of using 3D printing, which is becoming more and more widespread: yes, textile materials with an applied 3D image can now become a real basis for creating original fantasy products of the fashion industry.

The lecture was attended by more than 50 students, among whom there were representatives of the three faculties: Arts and Fashion (educational programs "Fashion Industry", "Computer Design in the Fashion Industry", "Modeling, Design and Art Decoration of Light Industry Products", "Design and Technologies of Garments", "Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products)", "Decorative Design"), Design (EP "Design of Clothing (Footwear)"), Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies (EP "Chemical Technologies and Engineering"), etc.

Tatjana Spahiu’s lecture revealed numerous important aspects and perspectives of using 3D printing technology to produce fashionable clothes and other costume elements.

Tatjana Spahiu shared her valuable experience of 3D modeling and 3D printing of costume elements and research on the influence of process parameters on product quality. Scientific research is the basis of all experiments on the application of additive technologies because the modern fashion industry is becoming more and more science-based.

The lecture was very informative and instructive. Such an exchange of experience is useful for both students and teachers.
