On March 7th, 2023, a regular meeting of the group “Application of analytical and statistical methods in solving economic, physical problems and problems of game theory” was held at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design “. Its purpose is to teach to formalize a practical problem in the language of mathematics, substantiate the model and analyze the results of research; increase cognitive activity and interest in mathematics, and self-education.

Subject: Game theory and decision making.
The group was attended by students of Groups BNT-22, BA-22, and BIT3-21, who learned to build strategies and choose the best of them, taking into account information about other participants, their resources, and possible actions. Game theory has been applied in a number of fields, including business, finance, economics, political science, and psychology. Understanding game theory strategies – both popular and some relatively lesser-known strategies – is important to improve argumentation and decision-making skills in a complex world. Game theory or decision theory is the basis for understanding the choice of situations among competing players. It is based on a conflict situation, which is generated by the difference in the interests of opponents or partners and the desire of each of them to achieve advantages by choosing the optimal solution.
Each participant in this rivalry must consider not only his own goals but also the interests of his partner.
