Higher education seekers of the first (bachelor) level of higher education of the educational program “Modeling, design and artistic decoration of light industry products” of the fourth year in the period from February 6 to March 4, 2023, traditionally underwent production practice, as a mandatory educational component, at domestic and foreign sewing enterprises of various forms of ownership.

The main bases of practice this year were modern enterprises in Ukraine – LLC "DANA MODA" (Kyiv), LLC "BRAND LENKA" (Kyiv), LLC "Soho chic" (Dnipro), PrJSC "Volodarka" (Vinnytsia), LLC "VOVK GROUP" (Kyiv), LLC "Innocentia" (Chernivtsi) and abroad – EMI-Sabinov s.r.o. (Slovak Republic, Pryashiv region, Sabinov city), ZPD "Olimpia S.A." (Poland, Lodz), and others with whom the agreement was signed. The management of the enterprises and organizations gladly accepted our students and provided their production facilities.

During the production practice, the students deepened and consolidated the theoretical knowledge and practical skills obtained during the study of the educational components of the program on the construction of garments, design and technological preparation of production, and computer design of products using modern innovative technologies.

The students learned about the structure and conditions of clothing manufacture; they studied the specifics of the main subdivisions – workshops, sites, organization of workplaces, technical facilities, appropriate equipment, placement of technological equipment, peculiarities of the organization of technological processes, and possibilities for their improvement.

The practical program was intense and extremely informative, it consolidated the skills of working with CAD in production conditions, making sketches and technical drawings of clothing models in graphic editors, developing the technological sequence of manufacturing different assortments of clothes, assortment analysis of garments at enterprises, as well as materials and accessories for their manufacture. At this challenging time, in the conditions of war, the production of military products acquired special importance at the enterprises. The students participated in the development and manufacture of products of various assortments and purposes, in particular, balaclavas, trunks, bags of various purposes, plate carriers, etc.

The diligence, perseverance, and competence of our students were appreciated by the management of the enterprise, as evidenced by proposals for further employment of future graduates of the University at the specified enterprise.
