Despite the difficult conditions of martial law, student scientific work at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design continues.
On March 23, 2023, the regular meeting of the scientific group “The Ukrainian language in professional communication” was held on the topic “Concepts of language and speech culture”. The goal is to provide the students with practical assistance in raising the general level of speech culture improving communication and oratory skills. The head of the group is I. Dzyra, professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, PhD in Philology, Doctor of Historical Sciences. The students of Groups BIMd-22, BKDIM-22, and BMR-22 took part in the meeting, in practice mastered the rules of language ethics and methods of forming speech culture. Group members also learned the general requirements for oral business communication and the norms of oral business communication.
On March 23, 2023, at the meeting of the scientific group “Know Yourself”’ on the topic “Skills of effective communication” (supervisor – A. Kolodiazhna, associate professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, PhD in Psychology). The work in a scientific group will help students develop themselves as individuals, improve themselves, discover new qualities and opportunities, learn to better understand themselves and others, resolve conflict situations, and change themselves for the better.
On March 27, 2023, at the meeting of the “Positive Psychology” group on the topic “The Power of Positive Thinking”, the possibility of providing students with practical assistance in the formation of optimism and positive thinking skills, contributing to the professional self-determination of young people, was considered (supervisor – R. Kyrychenko, associate professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, PhD in Psychology). The students of Group BPS-22 learned mental laws, synthetic experience, technology, and practical advice on the formation of positive thinking.
On March 30, 2023, at the meeting of the scientific group “Education for Sustainable Development” (supervisor – M. Bilianska, PhD, Head of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design), the students considered the ways and possibilities of using the ideas of education for sustainable development in professional activity. In the process of work, the students learned the intricacies and secrets of teamwork success and learned ways to improve performance by developing rational planning skills. Situational tasks and interactive exercises were used, in particular, “The Tower”.
On April 4, 2023, at the meeting of the scientific group “Pedagogical search” (supervisor – O. Vnukova, associate professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, PhD in Pedagogy) on the topic “Professional orientation of education seekers”, the students discussed the stages of a professional career formation, the peculiarities of pedagogical activity and were tested to identify their professional inclinations. This contributed to the establishment of the professional orientation regarding the chosen profession of a vocational education teacher.
