Applicants of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the educational program "Modeling, design and decoration of light industry products" 1-3 courses in the period from February 06 to March 04, 2023, traditionally completed educational practice, as a mandatory educational component, on sewing equipment in the workshops of the department of modeling and artistic decoration of clothes of KNUTD and in the educational and scientific laboratory of sewing technologies in the fashion industry (SOFTORG).
The purpose of the educational practice of higher education students is to deepen and consolidate theoretical knowledge and practical skills obtained during the study of the educational components of the program, in particular, from artistic and graphic composition to the basics of shaping clothes, designing sewing products, etc.
During the artistic part of the educational practice, the 1st year students (BSHMK-22 group) visually presented sketches and technical drawings using various graphic and artistic techniques, analyzed the collected material for the implementation of compositional solutions of the costume, and deepened the skills of independent practical activity.
During the practical part, students made various types of hand and machine stitches and seams of clothing parts, improving their skills in processing products on universal and special sewing equipment.
When reporting on the completion of practice, students will demonstrate the use of extraordinary materials and creative ideas in reflecting the original interpretations of sources of inspiration when designing albums.
The 2nd year students (BSHMK-21 group) and 3rd year students (BSHMK-20 group) acquired skills in the development of design and technological documentation and the manufacture of models of waist and shoulder garments, consolidated their knowledge of the terminology of garment production, conventional and graphic representations of methods of processing product components, studied the technical requirements for sewing products of various purposes, mastered the techniques of cutting and sewing textile garments.
At the end of the educational practice, the students reported on the completion of the program.
