The modern world of fashion is characterized by advanced technologies, digitalization and sustainable trends, but the traditional principles of artistic costume composition are still relevant today. Involvement of world-class scientists in the educational process allows us to acquire original information inspiring and directing specialists to the latest competitive developments.

On April 7, 2023, KNUTD hosted an online lecture by Lela Kiknavelidze, Professor of the Department of Design and Technology at Akaki Tsereteli State University (Georgia) on the topic "Costume ensemble as a complex artistic solution".

Lela Kiknavelidze is a unique personality who combines a professional scientist and a talented artist. Thanks to Lela Kiknavelidze, the listeners plunged into the world of beauty, getting acquainted with new knowledge about the principles and features of creating an ensemble as an artistically completed image of a costume.

The lecture was attended by more than 60 students, among whom were the representatives of the Faculties: Arts and Fashion (educational programs "Fashion Industry", "Computer Design in the Fashion Industry", "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products", "Design and Technology of Sewing Products", "Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products)", "Decorative Design"), Design (EP "Design of Clothing (Footwear)"), etc.

The informative lecture was accompanied by the presentation full of aesthetic images, the main elements of which were the unsurpassed author’s sketches of Lela Kiknavelidze.

The lecture was very intense and informative. This exchange of experience is useful for both higher education seekers and for teachers. New valuable information received from professional and talented colleagues fills us with knowledge, inspires emotions and motivates us to constantly move forward.
