REPORTING ON PRACTICE AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ART AND FASHION DESIGN

From 06 February to 04 March 2023, the bachelor and master students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design underwent an internship at fashion industry enterprises, museums, and national reserves of Ukraine and other institutions in Ukraine and abroad, in particular, at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine; the National Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; the Kyiv Zoo; the National Museum of History of Ukraine; greenhouses in the Expocenter of Ukraine and the National Botanical Garden named after Hryshko; the National Sanctuary Complex “Sophia of Kyiv”. Other practice sites include the fashion clothing brand "FROLOV", LLC "Frolov Heart"; fashion clothing brand "KASS", sole proprietor Kass B.V.; sole proprietor Kachur N.Y.; LLC "Dana Moda"; sole proprietor Mazur E. M.; LLC "Advertising Textiles"; LLC "Heroldmeister"; knitting factory "ROZA"; design studio "i-CHEF by Irina Makhinko"; design studio "Agajan"; sewing enterprise "Bahor" (Lyon, France); knitting factory "Tongliao Hengda" (China), and many others.

On 14 March 2023, the reporting on practice and review of the completed works of the students of bachelor's degree programs "Fashion Design" and "Design (by type)" and master's degree program "Design (by type)" of the Department of Art and Fashion Design took place. The reports were accepted by the academic staff of the Department of AFD: Kalyna Pashkevych, Head of the Department of AFD, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor; Nataliia Chuprina, Doctor of Art History, Professor; Tetiana Krotova, Doctor of Art History, Professor; Halyna Kokorina, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor; Olena Herasymenko, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor; Petro Harkin, Associate Professor, as well as the academic staff of Faculty of Design: Oksana Pasko, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor; Danylo Kosenko, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Candidate of Art History; Volodymyr Tymenko, Head of the Department of Multimedia Design, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor; Natalia Kravchenko, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor, and others.

The students and supervisors from KNUTD of the department of AFD reported on the internship and the results obtained, showing the finished products made during the internship.

The event was useful and informative because the students of different courses had the opportunity to see the results of the tasks completed within the scope of practice by the students of other courses, exchange experience, and the head of practice – to express his opinions and give advice on improving products.

Clothing models made by the students during the industrial and pre-diploma practices were recommended by the Department of Art and Fashion Design for participation in fashion design competitions and fashion shows of various levels.
