DISCUSSION ON THE RESULTS OF THE VISIT UNDER THE ERASMUS+ ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM OF THE ACADEMIC STAFF OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN

On April 4, 2023, there was a public online discussion on the results of the visit of the teachers of KNUTD Faculty of Design to Birmingham City University (Great Britain) under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, to which the students, graduate students and academic staff of KNUTD were invited.

At the beginning of the meeting, the project curator from the host party, leading lecturer at Birmingham City University (BCU) Nataliya Rozhin, spoke about the program of the visit, the completed internship tasks, and answered questions from the visitors present at the seminar, such as the system of assessment of design students’ creative works and the experience of cooperation between students of different educational programs in completing educational tasks.

The team of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD consisting of Kalyna Pashkevych, Head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, Iryna Davydenko and Halyna Kokorina, Associate Professors of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, and Vadym Batrak, Associate Professor of the Department of Multimedia Design shared their impressions of the visit to BCU, as well as reported in detail on the interesting and informative internship program: lectures and workshops attended by colleagues from BCU, lectures and workshops conducted by KNUTD teachers for BCU students, tours to workshops and classrooms, exhibitions of works, seminars and workshops, etc.

Answering students’ questions, Kalyna Pashkevych explained that our University has various forms of international academic mobility, including the Erasmus+ program.

International internship partners from KNUTD and BCU expressed their confidence in continuing cooperation in the direction of joint scientific publishing activities, conducting lectures for students, and carrying out joint international scientific projects.
