On April 19, 2023, an off-site meeting of the scientific circle "Use of Modern Technologies in Interior Design" (headed by associate professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design Tetiana Bulhakova) was held at the company "SKLO" (39 Dmytrivska St., Kyiv), which is engaged in designing and manufacturing of glass structures for architecture, including interior design: glass sliding systems, partitions, ceilings, furniture, etc. A scientific-practical seminar on the topic "Innovative technologies of using glass in interior design" was held in the company's showroom.

During the seminar, the participants of the scientific circle were introduced to modern types of glass sliding systems and partitions, their aesthetic and technological features, various types of profiles and fastenings, diverse types of glass and their characteristics, as well as technological requirements and limitations for such structures. The technology of using smart glass, which allows controlling the transparency of the structure with the help of a switch or sensors, as well as remotely from a smartphone, aroused particular interest among the participants. In addition to transforming the transparent surface of the glass into a solid matte surface, effects of smooth transition from matte to transparent surface can be created, and graphic drawings, such as the company's logo, can also be reproduced.

As a result of the scientific-practical seminar, materials from the design practice regarding innovative techniques, materials, structures, and technologies in the use of glass in interior design were collected and systematized. The obtained results can be used in further research of modern technologies in the use of glass in interiors of various typologies; in the educational design of students according to the "Environment Design" program; in interior design practice, as well as for the preparation of scientific publications on this topic.
