On 20 April 2023 at 14:00 in the conference hall of KNUTD (aud. 1-0130), in order to improve the quality of the educational process, internationalisation of higher education and within the context of international cooperation in science and education, strengthening the professional training of students of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies, the Department of Industrial Pharmacy organised an open lecture by Dr Mykola Zhurba, Professor of Germanic and Slavic Studies, University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Canada) on "Modern Education: Canadian-Ukrainian Experience".
Teachers, students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies of KNUTD gathered in the conference hall to listen to the lecture together. Many interested students and teachers also joined the conference online.
During the lecture, Mr Mykola shared his own experience of the peculiarities of building the learning process in higher education institutions in Ukraine and Canada. The lecturer also spoke about the trends and perspectives of using interactive learning technologies in modern education. This exchange of experience is useful for both students and teachers.
The lecture was held in an atmosphere of active interaction between the lecturer and the audience, as feedback was provided through constant communication with the participants. In particular, a poll was conducted using modern information technology, which allowed the results of the responses to be obtained and analysed online. Group work was also effective, as the lecture participants developed a common vision of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and interactive lecture formats.
