Dr. Taan Hussein Abbas Hussein, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine, Minister Plenipotentiary, met with Ivan Gryshchenko, Rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. Ivan Mykhailovych spoke about the work of the higher education institution, the specialties on which the University trains junior specialists, bachelors, masters, candidates, and doctors of sciences, as well as the cooperation with international educational and scientific institutions. In particular, the Rector noted that one of the largest projects on cooperation with foreign universities is currently cooperation with Chinese universities, within which students study under academic mobility programs in Industrial Pharmacy, Design, and Chemical Technology. KNUTD was the first Ukrainian university to officially start exporting educational services to China.

Dr. Hussein spoke about the state of affairs in higher education in Iraq and the revival of cooperation, upon his initiative, with Ukrainian higher education institutions at the state level.

During the meeting, Ivan Gryshchenko and Taan Hussein Abbas Hussein agreed to develop projects for future cooperation between KNUTD and universities in the field of education and science in Iraq.

Despite the difficult times for our country, KNUTD does not stop its activities; it is constantly developing and finding new solutions for the professional development of our students and teachers. We will continue to work in this direction.
