From May 1 to May 5, 2023, on the initiative of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies, an educational and cultural event called the Week of Foreign Languages - 2023 was held. The sections of English, German, Slovak and Italian languages worked. As part of the Week of Foreign Languages, thematic classes devoted to the culture and history of different countries, quizzes, contests, presentations and reports by students were held.

On May 1, 2023, Yana Absalyamova, associate professor of the Department of Philology and Translation, held a thematic class dedicated to the language and culture of Slovakia in the БВМ1-21 group. Students gave presentations in English, in which they presented educational facts about the language, culture, traditions, nature, history of the country, got acquainted with the peculiarities of its Gothic style architecture, historical monuments: fortresses, castles, cathedrals. Students also took part in the country studies quiz with pleasure.

Thematic classes were held by the German language section

On May 3, 2023, a virtual tour of the city of Mainz and the museum of Johann Guttenburg, the founder of printing, was conducted with the students of the 3rd year of the Faculty of Design. The excursion is dedicated to the World Book Day, which UNESCO has not coincidentally determined on the same day as V. Shakespeare's Day (April 23). The event was held by Tetiana Ketova

On May 5, 2023, a "Literary class" was held with 2nd-year students who chose "German language" as their subject of study. At the lesson, in accordance with the content of a poem by the German poet Heinrich Heine, the topic of development of such an important nowadays competence as "Emotional Intelligence" was discussed and a practical task was carried out to recognize human emotions by facial expression and tone of speech, as well as the appropriate use of exclamations and phrases to certain emotions.

On May 4, 2023, students of the German language group - 22 (A1) prepared for the class on the topic "Berlin multikulturell". Young people made reports and presentations about the capital and the largest city of Germany. Special attention was paid to the events related to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the unification of Germany. The event was conducted by assistant professor Olga Sinyavska.

On May 05, 2023 the students of the 2nd year of the group НМ2.1-22 at the lesson "Lust auf Kino?" offered the most interesting films to watch. Films related to directors, screenwriters and actors of German origin fell into the circle of their interest.

On May 1, 2023, the teacher of the department of philology and translation Svitlana Lebedeva held a thematic event with the group БДг2-21 dedicated to the unusual stories of Italian culinary recipes in Italy.

During the week, teachers of the Department of Philology and Translation engaged students in British culture as part of the Week of Foreign Languages. The events dedicated to British culture were attended by БДм3-21, БДг5-22, БДм1-22, БШМК-21, БДг5-22.

On May 2 and 5, 2023, teachers Iryna Pshenichna from БДг5-22, Iryna Gladush from БШМК and Svitlana Krasnyuk from БДм3-21 held an "Evening of British Culture". Students' presentations and reports were heard at the event.

On May 5, 2023, winners of the БДм1-22 group presented presentations in which they highlighted the most vivid facts from the history of Great Britain, took a video tour of interesting places in the country, discussed British culture from the point of view of modern trends in the development of fashion, music and art. The event was conducted by associate professor Natalya Hudkova.

During the week, teachers of the Department of Philology and Translation engaged students in American culture as part of the Week of Foreign Languages. The events dedicated to American culture were attended by БШ-20, БПТ-20, БСЕП-22, БЕМБ-22, БХФ-225.05, БДс 1-20, Бдс 2-20, БПМ-22, БМЕк – 21, БМТБ -21, БП-19

On May 1, 2023, the "Evening of American Culture" was held with the students of БМБ-22, БПМ-22. The event was held by Inna Borolis. Students prepared presentations about interesting facts about the USA, about the cities of New York and Washington. They talked about such symbols as Uncle Sam, a bald eagle and symbols on the American flag. There was also a video screening of 7 Secrets Every NYC Tourist Needs To Know! On May 2, 2023, a creative evening involved watching a video fragment from the series Friends and composing lines from the video in the correct order, students' stories about famous places in the USA, big cities, national holidays, and famous personalities. The event was held by Inna Makhovych.

On May 4, 2023 students of БМЕк – 21, БМТБ -21, БП-19  groups took an active part in an event dedicated to the peculiarities of the history, geography and culture of the United States of America. The main goal of the meeting was to expand the students' knowledge of aspects of American culture, political system, interesting historical events and personalities, important geographical locations of the USA. The event was held by Ludmila Royenko.

May 4, 2023, a class devoted to "Shakespeare reading" was held with the students of БАМП-22, БДо-22. Students recited excerpts from their favorite works of V. Shakespeare. There was also a screening of the film based on the dramatic work of V. Shakespeare "The Tempest" (1612) with further discussion (tragi-comedy, fairy tale about the behavior of people in society). The events were held by Svitlana Krasnyuk.

The illustration competition, the translation of sonnets and viewing of the online tour were held with the groups БДг1-21, БДАск-22, БІП1-22, БХТ-21, БАМП2-22 The events were conducted by assistant professor Ksenia Kugai, Svitlana Kuzmich, Svitlana Honcharenko, Vitalina Denysenko.

On May 1-5, students of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of KNUTD took part in the quiz (БМек, БМТБ -21, БХТ-21, БДс2-22, БДс2-22, БППк-22, БШМКск-21, БНт-22, БДс 1-20, Бдс 2-20, БПМ, БМБ-22, БДО2-22, БДа-ск-22, БІП2-22, БІТ2-22 , БІСт1-22, БА-22, БАм 1,2-21, БХТ-20, БДО2-22, БДа-ск-22, БІП2-22, БІТ2-22 , БІСт1-22, БА-22, БАм 1,2-21, БХТ-20).
