On May 10, 2023, students and lecturers of KNUTD attended an online vebinar by Refic Anadol, lecturer of Domus Academy (Italy).
As part of the Disrupting Patterns Talk webinar, Refic Anadol, a media artist in the field of data aesthetics and machine intelligence, spoke about his research practice focused on finding and developing innovative approaches to describing data and about innovations in the age of artificial intelligence.
Refic Anadol demonstrated how the digital age and machine intelligence enable the use of new technologies to create an enriched immersive environment that provides a dynamic perception of space.
The lecturer talked about new technologies in the field of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and showed, using concrete examples – world-famous projects of designers from different countries, what innovations were offered by designers and programmers in this field.
The webinar was attended by lecturers and students of bachelor's and master's degrees of the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Arts and Fashion (educational programs "Fashion Design", "Environment design", "Multimedia design", "Graphic design", «Design (by types)», "Styling, design and artistic finishing of fashion industry products") and graduate students of the Faculty of Design ("Design" educational program).
During the online lecture, the attendees learned about innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, about new technologies that facilitate and aesthetically improve human life, about design developments in the field of fashion design, environment design etc., because VR and AR technologies are widely used today in different areas.
At the end of the webinar, Refic Anadol answered the questions of the audience. The lecture was held in English, which provided an opportunity for students and teachers to improve their foreign language skills.
