RECTOR OF KNUTD HELD MEETING WITH LEADERSHIP OF BRITISH PARTNERS WITHIN TWINNING PROGRAM

On May 17, 2023, a significant online event took place, marking the conclusion of a year-long collaboration within the TWINNING project. During this meeting, Professor Ivan Gryshchenko, the Rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, engaged in discussions with Professor Chris Wigginton, the Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University, and Charles Cormack, the Head of Cormack Consultancy Group.

In a cordial and constructive conversation, the parties acknowledged the positive outcome of their one-year partnership, especially during the challenging period of Russian aggression in Ukraine. They also reached an agreement to strengthen their strategic alliance and foster the growth of research and educational potential between their respective institutions.

Rector Ivan Gryshchenko expressed his gratitude to Professor Chris Wigginton and Charles Cormack for their valuable contributions to the collaboration and their commitment to advancing educational and scientific ties between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Sheffield Hallam University.

Both parties expressed their shared commitment to continuing this successful collaboration and pursuing new projects and initiatives in the realm of education and science.

Among the numerous proposals for promising areas of cooperation, the British colleagues showed keen interest in Professor Gryshchenko's suggestion to establish a joint academic mobility project, reminiscent of the successful Ukrainian-Chinese educational initiative of establishing of Kyiv Institute at Qilu University of Technology (China) in 2019. The initiative was jointly undertaken by Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Qilu University of Technology in China.

The collaboration between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Sheffield Hallam University serves as an exemplar of a mutually beneficial partnership that has the potential to yield significant achievements in the fields of science and education.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our British partners for their fruitful collaboration, and we look forward to further positive achievements in the future.
