The Association of Ukrainian Designers in Paris (Association des Créateurs Ukrainiens à Paris) in cooperation with Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is implementing a charity project called “Ode to European Ukraine”. The competition involves several stages: the first is a sketch selection, the second is the production of ready-made collection models, and the third is participation in a show during the fashion week in Paris (France).
Future experts in design, projecting, modeling, manufacturing technologies of clothing and fashion industry products who are studying at KNUTD, students of the bachelor's and master's degrees of the Departments of Art and Fashion Design (Faculty of Design), Modeling and Artistic Decoration of Clothes, Fashion and Clothing, Fashion Technologies, Professional Education in Technologies and Design (Faculty of Arts and Fashion) responded to the invitation of the organizers and actively began to develop sketches – about 100 sketch proposals of clothing collections were submitted for the first round.
During the preparation for the competition in April 2023, a film crew from the PX-VIDEO studio visited KNUTD to film the creative process of preparing for the event, how KNUTD students are looking for a source of inspiration, studying fashion history, modern fashion trends, creating sketches, selecting materials, laying out fabric products on mannequins, decorating, embroidering, making clothing models, etc.

The winners of the first stage of the competition as part of the charity project "Ode to European Ukraine" will participate in a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The organizers help the winners in the production of models (purchase of fabrics, accessories for sewing, and decoration of collection models). The final of the competition in Paris is planned for September 2023.
