On May 17, 2023, Kateryna Chrichlow, a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, Fashion and Media of Birmingham City University (Great Britain), held an online lecture on the topic "Principles of developing a fashion designer's portfolio (on the example of training specialists in higher education in the United Kingdom)".
The lecture was held as part of the study of the educational components "Complex design-projection" (EP "Fashion design") and "Computer design of products" (EP "Modeling, construction and artistic decoration of light industry products").

Mrs. Kateryna demonstrated with concrete examples how students of Birmingham City University form a portfolio at various stages of work on the collection: contextual research, choice of color scheme, the transformation of the primary source, selection, and creation of textiles, development of prototypes, conducting experiments with the form on a mannequin, etc.

During the online lecture, the participants learned about the importance for a fashion designer of conducting market research and analysis of modern fashion trends, acquiring skills not only in the development of a project for fashion industry products but also in the demonstration and implementation of a design product.
