A student scientific club «Reconstruction of historical costume» of the Department of Art and Fashion Design during the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year held the scheduled meetings. The purpose of the scientific club is the study of reliable artifacts of the world and domestic fashion in the context of the topical tasks of modern clothing design. The supervisors of the club are Halyna Kokorina, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor, and Iryna Davidenko, associate professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design.
Participants of the student scientific club are the bachelor and master students of the educational programs «Fashion Design» and «Design (by type)», as well as graduate students of the EP «Design».
On March 07, 2023, a meeting was held at the exhibition site «COSTUME LIBRARY: UKRAINIAN BAROQUE», exhibited in the National Reserve «Sophia of Kyiv» and presented the results of the experimental part of the research on the history of Ukrainian fashion, conducted by the club.

On May 1, 2023, as part of the work of the club, a meeting was held dedicated to the activities of the House of Models “Khreschatyk”. The students got acquainted with the authentic products of Ukrainian designers of the 1980-1990s, provided for research and joint exhibition by the director of the House of Models “Khreschatyk”, Iryna Tkachenko; they got the opportunity to analyze the artistic and technological features of clothing models based on the Ukrainian national costume.

On May 16, 2023, a meeting was held to study the design features of traditional costumes in the East, analyzing the design and principles of decoration of Japanese costumes, which are extremely relevant today and influence the development of global fashion design.

The work of the student scientific club resulted in the publication of abstracts for the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Contemporary Design", preparation of certificates for copyright registration for work, research for bachelor's and master's theses, preparation of collections for participation in the international competition “Pecherski Kashtany”, etc.
