On May 18, 2023, a meeting of the scientific club of the Department of Art and Fashion Design "Topical trends in fashion design" was held (supervisors – Prof. Nataliia Chuprina and Prof. Tetyana Krotova).
The meeting was devoted to the study of methods of analysis and synthesis in fashion design with pre-defined visual and functional characteristics. So, Prof. Tetyana Krotova explained the specifics of the formation of project tasks for clothing design, taking into account the requirements of consumers and modern fashion trends, using various creative sources. In turn, Prof. Nataliia Chuprina drew attention to the peculiarities of the practical development of models of a certain assortment, taking into account the requirements of consumers, and its presentation on domestic and international catwalks.

The application of these methods contributed to the acquisition of skills to analyze, stylize, interpret, and transform objects for the development of artistic and project solutions in the design of clothing for various purposes.
In the process of performing this task, the students presented their research results and justified the applied project solutions in the field of interpretation of visual and design solutions for spectacular costumes, modern school clothes, as well as clothes intended for professional activities.

The bachelor and master students of the educational programs "Fashion Design", "Design (by types)" presented the results of their research at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Modern Design" (April 27, 2023, KNUTD), demonstrated the results of author's certificates for their project research results and discussed the specifics of submitting applications and presenting creative works at design competitions of various directions.
