On May 26, 2023, the students of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs of the Department of Art and Fashion Design (Educational programs "Fashion design", "Design (by types)") visited the Museum of Vyshyvanka, KNUTD, together with the academic staff – head of the Department Kalyna Pashkevych, Professor Nataliia Chuprina, Associate Professors Iryna Davydenko, Halyna Kokorina, and Olena Gerasymenko.

The Museum of Vyshyvanka, which was solemnly opened on May 18, 2023, creates a pleasant festive atmosphere of Ukrainian culture, presents artifacts, antiques, and authentic products that convey the wealth, hard work, and sincerity of the Ukrainian people.

The lecturers of the Department of Art and Fashion Design Halyna Kokorina, PhD in Technological Sciences, Associate Professor and Olena Gerasymenko, PhD, conducted a tour and talked about the samples of clothes, rushnyks (embroidered towels), and household items presented in the museum.

The exhibits presented in the museum were considered by the students not only as a monument of Ukrainian culture but as a source of inspiration for future collections of young fashion designers. A unique “Krolevets rushnyks” collection from the Sumy Oblast aroused special interest.

A visit to the museum left pleasant memories and feelings for the visitors. It is very good that at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, on the initiative of the Rector, Academician Ivan Gryshchenko, this center of culture has appeared, where you can familiarize yourself with the history of our state, touch authentic things, get positive energy and inspiration for creative projects.
