From July 3 to 21, 2023, at the exhibition of creative works "Creativity contrasts of the Faculty of Design" in the "Art Space" Exhibition Center of KNUTD, the creative works of students of the bachelor's and master's degrees of the Department of Art and Fashion Design were demonstrated.

The exhibition featured ready-made samples and photos of clothing models from the collections of winners and laureates of creative competitions of various levels, as well as models from the "COSTUME LIBRARY" collection.

The models from the collections of students of the Department, made under the guidance of their teachers, were presented. Previously, they were shown at all-Ukrainian and international creative professional competitions: "Pecherski Kashtany", "Suzirya "Kashtan" (Kyiv, KNUTD); UKRAINIAN FASHION WEEK, "Kyiv-Fashion", "LOOK into the Future" (Kyiv); "FRANKFURTSTYLEAWARD" (Frankfurt, Germany), etc.

From among the exhibits of the work of students and graduates of the Department of AFD are: Ilona Mandyradzhi, collection "Inheritance of the Soul", 2023; Anastasiia Halushko (winner of the "Pecherski Kashtany" competition), "Destiny calls" collection, 2021; Diana Trachuk, spectacular costume "Blue Butterfly", 2021; Hu Wenjie, collection with ethnic motifs, 2021; Tetiana Herman, ensemble using Krolevetsk picky weaving, 2017; Solomiia Mysak, collection of costumes with ethnic motifs, 2016; Kateryna Mykhaliuk, Liudmyla Loban, spectacular costume from the "KUGUT" collection, 2015.
Historical costume replicas were also presented, they were made under the guidance of the teachers of the Department, Halyna Kokorina, Iryna Davydenko, Svitlana Markova, Inna Gaiova, and others, which are part of the "COSTUME LIBRARY" collection, containing over 500 models in total.

Markova, 2012; reconstruction of a wedding dress, around 1830, the performers are I. Matyeva, A. Bordukova, A. Kucher, G. Lysenko, K. Maiboroda, K. Horiainova, 2006; reconstruction of women's costume of the mid-15th century, the Netherlands, the performers are A. Dolzhenko, T. Yehorova, N. Kolesnyk, A. Pereverten, N. Trofimova, V. Shcherbina, A. Bikhno, 2007; reconstruction of a mid-16th century dress, Germany, the performers are N. Yakovleva, A. Kusakina, 2007, supervisors – Svitlana Markova, Iryna Davydenko.
Reconstructions of historical costumes performed by the students and teachers of the Department of AFD
In close cooperation with Inga Yatsenko-Andriyishyna, the coordinator of the "Art Space" Exhibition Center, the staff of the Department of AFD worked on the preparation of the exhibition: Kalyna Pashkevych, head of the Department, Iryna Davydenko, associate professor, Halyna Kokorina, associate professor, Oleksandra Protsko, head of the laboratory, Rostyslav Pasishnichenko, student, laboratory assistant of the Department.
The exhibition provided an opportunity to demonstrate to visitors all areas of training of fashion design specialists at KNUTD. For more than 30 years, the Department of Art and Fashion Design has been training designers, graduates of the Department are famous designers, fashion designers, stylists, and other fashion industry experts.
