On August 17, 2023, a solemn dedication of first-year students of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies to students took place within the walls of the University.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Rector of the University, Professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Ivan Gryshchenko, delivered a welcome speech. He wished to continually learn in any form: at the University, at work, in courses, training sessions, and clubs. Anxiety and going to shelter should not be an obstacle to development. It is precisely what the enemy is trying to do because uneducated people are controlled, as they say, enslaved people. The Rector emphasised that rebuilding our state and becoming highly qualified specialists is necessary because young people create a new future.
Dean of the Faculty, Professor Tetiana Derkach, warmly congratulated the first-year students on the holiday, invited them to the student family, and briefly informed those present about the results of the admissions campaign and the peculiarities of the organisation of full-time education in modern conditions. The dean emphasised that the first-year students will receive their education in an educational institution that is one of the leaders in Ukraine and occupies a leading academic position both in our country and abroad.
Heads of the Departments, professors Olena Mokrousova, Viktoriya Plavan, Volodymyr Bessarabov, and deputy dean, associate professor Olena Kryukova, also made congratulatory remarks. Everyone found particular words for the new members of the University family. It was said about obtaining a dual higher education, which involves training at an educational institution and an enterprise. Thanks to this, higher education seekers get the opportunity to learn about modern technologies and the "secrets" of the profession in real production conditions, where they can start their careers immediately after graduation. All the interested students are invited to participate in scientific work and realise their creative abilities. KNUTD has created all the possibilities for this.
