On August 14, 2023, a meeting of the first-year students majoring in "Multimedia Design" with the teachers of the Department of Multimedia Design took place.

The head of the Department of Multimedia Design, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Tymenko congratulated future designers-executives of multimedia objects on the Apple Feast of the Savior and wished them a successful professional development at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. He expressed hope that the ethnic traditions of Ukrainians will become the source of their multimedia ethnodesign in future professional design activities.

The first-year students got acquainted with the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Multimedia Design: associate professor Vadym Batrak, assistant Oleksandr Vasyliev, senior teacher Maria Kravchenko, senior teacher Stanislav Potanin, senior teacher Valery Skliarenko, associate professor Olena Slitiuk, assistant Mykhailo Chernikov, university professor Oleksandr Shapoval, and others.

Supervisor Olena Slitiuk drew the attention of freshmen to the peculiarities of the electronic schedule, the presence of a modular environment of the educational process, where all educational disciplines of the educational program in multimedia design take place, and also emphasized the mandatory observance of the rules of behavior in the University and the campus during air-raid alarms. She informed the freshmen about the locations of storage facilities.

Graphic design teacher Vadym Batrak and stage designer and editing director Mykhailo Chernikov encouraged students to participate in the Department’s group work, informed about the possibilities of realizing creative potential in creative and scientific competitions, exhibitions, and Olympiads. The teachers advised the first-year students to familiarize themselves with the website of the Department of Multimedia Design, where all the areas of group work are presented, as well as the creative works of multimedia designers of other courses of the Department of MD.

The students and teachers of the Department were attracted by the communicative activity of the first-year student of BDm2-23 Group Olesia Tkachenko, who showed leadership talent and herself was called upon to perform the duties of the head of the group. She wrote down her e-mail address on the board and created a telegram group in order to timely inform her classmates about the daily challenges of student life. Voyakovska Krystyna (BDm1-23), Diana Stepanenko (BDm3-23), Syzko Kira (BDm4-23) were also elected as group leaders.
