Since the first years of Ukraine's independence, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine has started an annual All-Ukrainian Cultural and Artistic Project dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine.
Traditionally, well-known masters of fine arts from different regions of the country take part in the event. This year, the cultural and artistic project, which takes place in the exhibition halls of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine from August 23 to September 10, 2023, was joined by teachers of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design - Antonina Dubrivna, head of the department of digital art, and Ulyana Balan, a senior teacher of the same department. They presented their works of art representing aspects of Ukrainian traditional culture, namely, the taste preferences of Ukrainians - "Cabbage" from the series "Borsch" (U. Balan) and "Bon Appetite" (A. Dubrivna).
All project participants have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their creative achievements and reflect their views on the modern development of Ukraine. They use a variety of techniques and artistic means from classical to experimental, creating original and unforgettable works of art that impress with the depth of emotions and high professionalism, which is especially relevant in the context of the challenges that our country is facing during the Russian military invasion, defending its Independence.
This project attracts a lot of attention from viewers, collectors, and art experts. It not only promotes the popularization of modern trends in Ukrainian art but also unites artists of different generations, creating a powerful cultural dialogue and emphasizing the importance of preserving national identity and patriotic values in the most difficult period. Artists, taking part in this project, direct their energy to the affirmation of spiritual strength and hope for a great future for Ukraine.
The All-Ukrainian cultural and artistic project for the Independence Day of Ukraine is a vivid example of the creative skill of teachers for students of the "Digital Art" educational program, the opportunity to test the results of their own creative works.
