On August 31, 2023, as part of the International Scientific Project "Development of International Potential in Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship with an Emphasis on Shared Experience in Higher Education Institutions" of the INTREPID-HEI Consortium, at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business started a cycle of guest lectures on the current topics: "Startups and technological entrepreneurship" and "Global entrepreneurship in the Digital era" for students of the master level of higher education of the educational program "Innovative entrepreneurship and management of Startup projects", which will last until September 30, 2023.

The guest lecturer of the training is the associate professor of the Department of Marketing and Management of ŠKODA AUTO University, PhD Emil VELINOV. At the first lecture, international experience in the development of Startup initiatives, particular in the Czech Republic, was discussed with the students. Students were introduced to the concept of 'Deep Tech' by Swati Chaturvedi, founder and CEO of Propel, an online investment platform that connects early-stage Deep Tech with investors. The lecturer emphasized that Deep tech refers to those Startups whose business model is based on high-tech innovations in engineering or significant scientific achievements. In the second lecture on September 1, 2023, it was highlighted that Deep Tech Definition is an innovative technology that has relatively simple technological progress that transforms business from a non-digital business model to a digital one.

PhD Emil VELINOV and Doctor of Economics, Assoc. professor  Mariana SHKODA discussed the possibility of cooperation and unification of scientific research in the relevant direction between the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business of KNUTD and the Department of Marketing and Management of ŠKODA AUTO University. In particular, Mariana SHKODA shared experience in the development of the startup movement at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

It is worth noting that online lectures are accompanied by active discussions, during which applicants receive comprehensive answers to their questions.
