An agreement on scientific and educational cooperation was concluded between the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and the Lithuanian Business College (Klaipeda, Lithuania).
The signing took place in an online format by the first persons of the educational institutions - Ivan Gryshchenko, rector of KNUTD, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Yurgita Martynkene, director of the Lithuanian Business College, associate professor, doctor.
Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities was present at the meeting. and Tetyana Bukoros, director of the scientific and technical library, associate professor.
Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and Lithuanian Business College (until January 2023, Lithuanian Business University of Applied Sciences) are connected by a long and fruitful scientific cooperation, which was implemented in mutual participation in scientific events, joint review of scientific works, exchange of experience in publishing activities and work of institution libraries. By the way, on the shelves of the scientific and technical library of KNUTD, there are issues of the scientific journal "Vadyba" ("Management") for the past 3 years, published by the Lithuanian Business College.
Today, a new stage of cooperation began, the parties discussed plans and prospects for cooperation in the educational sphere, in particular regarding the development of new educational programs that are interesting for specialists from each university.
The heads of the institutions exchanged information on the scientific achievements of the educational institutions, prospects for the development of educational, research, innovation and administrative-management spheres of their activity.
Yurgita Martynkene thanked for the cooperation and expressed the hope to discuss specific cooperation plans for the 2023-2024 academic year, inviting the rector and scientists of KNUTD to the anniversary XV International Conference "2023 Sustainable Regional Development: Economic, Management, Legal and Technological Opportunities", which will be held on 6-7 October 2023 in Klaipeda.
Ivan Gryshchenko expressed his gratitude to all participants of the meeting and drew attention to the fact that all participants in the interaction receive a positive impulse from the development of international relations. First, it contributes to the formation of a positive image of educational institutions in the world educational space, increases competitiveness, provides an opportunity to adapt the best experience of universities and put it into practice. Secondly, it promotes the integration of scientists into the international research community, stimulates the activity of scientific and pedagogical workers and students in international scientific projects, provides guarantees to students regarding the observance of freedoms and the creation of conditions under which they can achieve their cultural and educational goals. And the main thing is that fruitful international partnership relations directly affect the quality of education, Ivan Gryshchenko emphasized.
