The Day of Physical Culture and Sports is celebrated in Ukraine on the second Saturday of September. This is a holiday of healthy lifestyle, physical culture and sports movement. At all times, people who are healthy in spirit and body have been the backbone of society, because sport not only strengthens health, but hardens character and will.

According to the work plan of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies and the Department of Physical Education and Health, SportFest-2023 was held. Table tennis competition took place in a friendly atmosphere on September 6, 2023. The purpose of the competition was to popularize tennis and a healthy lifestyle among young people.

Winners of the competition among girls:

1st place – Rolyk Kateryna, group BDm-1-23;

2nd place – Novikova Anastasiia, group BDm-1-23;

3rd place – Haiduchyk Daria, group Dg-52.

Winners of the competition among young men:

1st place – Solodenko Illia, group BPKD-1-23;

2nd place – Voitiuk Vasyl, group BFR-1-23;

3rd place – Voblyi Danylo, group Dg-44.

Panchenko Myroslava and Hryb Maksym won in the "Audience Sympathy" nomination.

On September 7, 2023, Oksana Zelenіuk, Candidate of Science in Physical Education and Sports and associate professor of the Department of Physical Education and Health, conducted an educational seminar "A page in the history of sports Kyiv at the beginning of the 20th century".

On September 11, 2023, a mini-football competition among first-year students was held at the university stadium. Female athletes were among the participants, that gave the competition correctness and discipline.

The winners of the competition:

1st place - the team of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies;

2nd place – the team of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies (group BFR-23);

3rd place - ESCIMO team (the team of the Professional College of Arts and Design of KNUTD);

4th place - FLAMINGO team (the team of the Professional College of Arts and Design of KNUTD)

Thanks to all participants of SportFest 2023! 

On the occasion of the holiday, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Physical Education and Health were awarded Certificates of Honor and Gratitudes from the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klychko.

The staff of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design were also awarded  a Certificate of Appreciation by the Department of Youth and Sports of the Pechersk District State Administration in Kyiv for fruitful long-term cooperation, initiative and comprehensive support in the organization of events in Pechersk District of Kyiv.
