On September 20, 2023, Ihor DIORDITSA, Professor, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law, gave a lecture on "Anti-Corruption Policy of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design" for higher education seekers of the Departments of Fashion Technology, Digital Art, Fashion and Style, Professional Education in Technology and Design of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion of KNUTD.
The development of national education systems, the adoption and adaptation of new European ideas by educational institutions, and the desire to strike a balance between institutional and academic aspirations necessitate that educational institutions set tasks for the humanistic orientation of educational processes, which includes anti-corruption education as a tool for shaping an anti-corruption outlook, strong moral foundations of the individual, civic position and sustainable anti-corruption behavior skills.
During the lecture, Ihor Volodymyrovych told the students of the educational programs "Digital Art", "Professional Education", "Psychology", "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products", "Fashion Industry", "Design and Technology of Garments", "Computer Design in the Fashion Industry" about the main legislative acts on which the KNUTD Anti-Corruption Program is based, and revealed the essence of such concepts as "corruption", "corruption risks", etc.
The lecturer also told the students about the scope and circle of persons responsible for the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Program at KNUTD, which is mandatory for all the employees of the University, including officials of all levels. Ihor Volodymyrovych reviewed in detail the list of anti-corruption measures in the University's activities and familiarized the students with the algorithm of actions to prevent and detect corruption.
Anti-corruption education in educational organizations cannot be designed to achieve the expected result quickly. This is a long-term, strategic, and most effective anti-corruption project in terms of its possible consequences. Such education helps to develop personal values, form a strong civic position in relation to this destructive phenomenon, and raise the level of legal awareness and patriotism, especially among the younger generation.
The discussion of anti-corruption policy issues among the students present at the event with curators and heads of the departments aroused keen interest and took place in a friendly atmosphere.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies of Kyiv National University of Technology and Design for organizing the event, effective communication, and meaningful and thorough lecture material!
