On September 19, 2023, a meeting of the scientific club of the Department of Fashion Technology "Scientific developments in the design and manufacture of fashion industry products" was held on the topic "Innovations in fashion industry products".
The leaders of the club, associate professors of the Department of Fashion Technology A. Babych and V. Kernesh held a meeting in the above-mentioned thematic format. They acquainted the club members with modern innovations in fashion products and technologies for their manufacture and decoration, namely the use of specialized 2D and 3D programs to create digital models of clothing, footwear, and accessories; the use of modern technologies for the manufacture of knitted shoe uppers and 3D printing of products; decoration of products with painting and weaving on the material. As examples, the real developments of students and graduates of the Department of Fashion Technology (A. Khromushina, V. Khoma, A. Lavrynenko, Y. Tsymbal, A. Gleynik, and others) were presented.
The meeting emphasized the importance of using innovative technologies, equipment, methods, and tools for the development, manufacture, and decoration of fashion products.
All the participants shared their opinions on the use of traditional and innovative technologies for manufacturing and finishing products, classic and atypical materials to create modern products, taking into account fashion trends and the importance of innovations in technology in developing their designs of various shapes.
The students presented scientific reports and presentations on the topic of the seminar: "Innovations in Fashion Industry Products".
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. The results of the club's work can be used in further research of the club members, in the educational process under the educational programs "Fashion Industry" and "Computer Design in the Fashion Industry", in practice during the development of digital product design and manufacturing technology, as well as for the preparation of scientific papers and creative works on this topic.
