On October 3, 2023, at Dana-moda garment enterprise (Kyiv), training sessions on the disciplines «Technology of garments» and «Modern technologies at enterprises of the fashion industry» were held in production conditions for students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of 3 courses studying under the educational programs «Fashion Industry» and «Design and Technologies of Garments».
The director of the factory, Liudmyla IVANOVA, familiarized the students with the technological process of manufacturing products and the equipment of the main production workshops of the enterprise in detail. During the meeting, the students learned about the peculiarities of working with modern textile materials, the main customers of the company, and the updated range of products.
Dana-moda factory specializes in the manufacture of women's and men's outerwear and cooperates with well-known European brands. The company manufactures custom-made products of the brands HUGO BOSS, MARKS & SPENCER, BETTY B., MONTANA, BERGHAUSE, etc., which are distinguished by their exquisite design and impeccable product quality.
As part of the meeting, a «round table» of the working group of the educational programs «Design and technology of garments» and «Fashion industry» (guarantor – PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Larysa BILOTSKA, members of the working group - PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Arseniy ARABULI, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Oksana VODZINSKA) was held with the external stakeholder Liudmyla IVANOVA, who was involved in the renewal of educational and professional programs and expressed interest in quality training of future specialists in the fashion industry.
The company representatives provided suggestions for improving educational programs, emphasized the importance of the technological component in the educational process, and stressed the need to increase the number of hours of engineering and technical courses for the training of future industry specialists.
After the meeting with the management of Dana-moda company, it was agreed that the students of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion will undergo a traditional production practice.
